STENDHAL se forma a finales del año 2005 por Luis Robles “Ongo” (guitarra y voz), Sergio Pérez (batería), Emanuel García (guitarra) y Gustavo Serrano “Walrus” (bajo) con la clara idea de crear metal con un estilo propio. El nombre de la banda es tomado de una enfermedad que causa un elevado ritmo cardíaco, vértigo, confusión e incluso alucinaciones cuando el individuo es expuesto a una sobredosis de belleza artística conocida como Síndrome de STENDHAL. Enero del año 2006 STENDHAL hace su primera aparición en la escena metalera local al sumarse como parte del RASING METAL en su segunda edición, a partir de ese momento la banda no para de crear canciones y sumar presentaciones. En el mismo año graba dos canciones para el disco The Ultimate Puebla Assault Compilation una coproducción de los sellos Hail the Goats Records y American Line Productions. A finales de ese año sufre una modificación al dejar la banda Emanuel García, meses mas tarde Pablo Méndez “Pabo” tomaría su lugar dando como resultado un cambio palpable en la música y dirección de la banda además de formar la alineación actual. Durante los poco mas de tres años desde su presentación en enero del año 2006 STENDHAL ha compartido escenario con bandas internacionales DARK FUNERAL (Suecia), MYSTIC CIRCLE (Alemania), 1349 (Noruega) e infinidad de bandas nacionales como: Perpetual Dilemma, Advenians, Ethereal Tragedy, Heavens Nerby, Soulmetal, Axon, Gore & Carnage, Idiot Flesh, Akbal Khan, Kimera, Anabantha, Nocturnal Sin, entre otras. The name of the band is taken from a disease that causes an elevated heart rate, dizziness, confusion and even hallucinations when a subject is exposed to an overdose of artistic beauty known as the Stendhal Syndrome. January 2006 STENDHAL made his first appearance in the local Metal scene to join as part of the RASING METAL in his second edition, from that moment the band is constantly creating songs and adding presentations. In the same year we recorded two songs for the album The Ultimate Puebla Assault Compilation a co-production of the brands Hail The Goats Records and the American Line Productions. At the end of that year is an adjustment to leave the band Emanuel Garcia, Pablo Mendez “Pabo” months later take the place resulting in a palpable change in the direction of the band and music, well as forming the present alignment. During the little more than three years since its introduction in January 2006 STENDHAL has shared the stage with international bands DARK FUNERAL (Sweden) MYSTIC CIRCLE (Germany), 1349 (Norway) and plenty of bands such as: Perpetual Dilemma, Advenians, Ethereal Tragedy, Heavens Nerby, Soulmetal, Axon, Gore & Carnage, Idiot Flesh, Akbal Khan, Kimera, Anabantha, Nocturnal Sin, among others.
